Band Schedules Posted!

We have the final Band Schedules just in and have posted them on two new pages on the blog:

Why is there no schedule for the pipe bands EVERY YEAR???? Isn’t this one of the main reasons why we attend the festival, to see the pipe bands?? Stage bands are lovely, but how often do we get to see the pipe bands? Why does the ‘grand finale’ band only get to play occassionally? THEY ARE THE RICHMOND COMPETITION BAND! Shouldn’t we be be able to hear them play more through the festival? The majority of the time they play we always miss it because THERE IS NO SCHEDULE FOR THE PIPE BANDS!! What’s wrong with this picture? Pipe bands are Celtic! Isn’t this a Celtic festival? My kids leave disappointed EVERY year because we always end up missing their performances, because we never know when they are going to play! We can’t sit at the stage all day waiting.

  Hello!
  Your family can be sure to see several pipe bands at the opening parade satuday at 10 a.m. along with celtic dancers of all ages. the pipers play between acts as available throughout the festival weekend. Be sure to check out the schedule for the st. patrick church choir that will be performing irish hymns in the church this year as well

    Well be sure they’re on the schedule then. Hopefully some Irish folk acts with vocals as well…

We didn’t attend this year after my husband looked on line to find the schedule for the pipe bands and didn’t find a schedule for them. They were the main reason we would have attended.

The pipe bands traditionaly play between each of the other acts.

I have tried numerous times to view the band schedules and cannot. When I try http://www.churchhillirishfestival.com/?page_id=23 Sunday. There is an empty page. It must be something that I am doing incorrectly. Is there another way to view the bands for both days?

  Unfortunately, we have not nailed down the schedules for both days yet. I believe that should be finalized very soon and we’ll update those pages.
