A Local Country Legend Passes
The organizers of the Irish Festival are sad to report that the country musician Page Wilson has passed on to the great music hall in the sky. Page did a lot for the young musicians in the Richmond area for many, many years. He had always been a supporter of the Irish Festival and lent a hand at many of our events. He is missed by many here on the Hill and we would like to dedicate the 2011 Church Hill Irish Festival in his honor and name. Take care, Page.
Help – I’m new to the Church Hill area and can’t seem to find current information on your website re:2011 festival. 2010 & 2011 dates seem to be mixed together (band schedule has 3/26, 3/27 dates, but the post says it was posted Monday March 15th 2010??? Are the exact same bands playing in the exact same order as 2010? Also can’t find general festival hours – same as band schedule? I also heard there was an admission charge – can’t find anything about that either – if so, what is cost?
Is anyone performing website updates? Assuming festival goes ahead rain or shine? Trying to coordinate a party with festival; everyone is asking. Can’t get any info on website.

Sorry folks – my bad. Just realized I posted questions (pertaining to general info) in your Page Wilson tribute space. Very insensitive since that space is dedicated for comments in his honor. Being new to the area, I am not as yet acquainted with his music, but some of my peeps here in RVA did know him & are very saddened by the news. Thanks for addressing my general info questions anyway; even though I intruded onto Page’s space.
